Linux Linux Apps Matlab/Octave Software For The Kiddos Fortran Jokes, (You Might Be a Tranny) Octave/Matlab FAQ |
Welcome to the computer section of jameshumig.com!If you are looking for tips on Windows software, you may have the wrong number, please hang up and dial again. I am an avid Linux lover, and it didn't take much to make me such a fan after I was introduced to Linux by Dr. Larry (Papa) Smith and his awesomely funny, and sometimes politically incorrect son Wes. If you are looking for information on Window$ software, I am sorry, I don't know much about it, other than the fact that I have used M$ Office, Matlab, and some other very expensive M$ Window$ specific products. Since I started using Linux, I have had no reason to purchase software, and can't believe the amount of money I spent for so long to get products that were disappointing at best and useless at worst. Though I did recently find out that Microsoft finally got IE right so that the pictures shown on this website are properly displayed on IE 7. I mean no disrespect to Mr. Gates and his family, I want you to know that I have very high respect for Mr. Gates. He and his family have contributed to some of the best research projects currently ongoing. Research being funded by the Gates will likely save thousands, if not millions of lives. I must thank them for their love of people. These things are made possible by the sale of such products as Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. I would simply like to give the readers an alternative. If you would like to know what types of programs the Gates are contributing to, you can find out at www.gatesfoundation.org. At least this way, you know where to send your money directly if you decide to start using Linux (the best operating system in the whole-wide-world)! |
